All app data is stored on the user's device. App data like chat history is lost once it is deleted from the user's device.
We implement industry-standard SSL encryption to protect the transmission of your math problems to our servers and to OpenAI's API. However, please note that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Math Scanner AI does not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on our website or within our mobile application.

8 The GreenThese Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement made between you ("you" or "your") and Softelara LLC ("we," "us," or "our") concerning your access to and use of the Math Scanner AI mobile application ("App").
By downloading, accessing, using our App, or making any purchase within the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you do not have permission to access the App.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the App strictly in accordance with the Terms of this agreement and as permitted by the Apple App Store's terms of service.
We are committed to ensuring that our App is accessible to all users. We strive to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA standards and applicable accessibility laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). If you encounter any accessibility barriers while using our App, please contact us at support@softelara.com so we can work to resolve the issue.

The App, including without limitation all copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets and other intellectual property rights are, and shall remain, the sole and exclusive property of Softelara LLC. The App is protected by copyright laws and international copyright treaties, as well as other intellectual property laws.
When you submit math problems to the App (via photo), you retain all rights to your content. However, by submitting such content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and process the math problems solely for the purpose of providing you with solutions and explanations within the App.

We reserve the right to terminate your access to the App immediately and without refund if we have reason to believe you are using the App for any prohibited purpose or for any reason whatsoever at our sole discretion.

Each math problem you submit uses one credit. The accuracy and quality of recognition and solutions depend on various factors including photo quality, problem complexity, and service availability. Credits are non-refundable once used, regardless of the quality of the result or whether the service successfully recognized or solved your math problem.
Credits carry over between payment periods if your subscription remains active. Credits carry over if upgrading from Monthly to Annual subscription or downgrading from Annual to Monthly subscription. All credits are voided if an auto-renewable subscription is canceled or expires. Once a subscription expires and is not renewed, all conversation credits are immediately voided without compensation or refund.
All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to the App Store's terms and conditions.
Auto-renewable subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal by going to your App Store account settings after purchase. While you may cancel your subscription at any time, please note that you will continue to have access to your subscription benefits until the end of your current billing period.
All purchases are final and non-refundable. We do not provide refunds for any of our in-app subscriptions or purchases, whether partially used or unused. This includes all subscription plans, additional credit purchases, and trial subscriptions. Refund requests must be made through Apple, as purchases are processed through the App Store. Please note that while we do not offer refunds directly, Apple maintains its own refund policy that may apply in certain circumstances at Apple's sole discretion.
YOU EXPRESSLY ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. We make no warranty or representation with respect to the completeness, security, reliability, quality, accuracy, or availability of the App. We disclaim all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
The solutions and explanations provided by the App are for educational and reference purposes only. You are solely responsible for understanding the mathematical concepts and should not rely exclusively on the App for academic submissions or critical applications where mathematical accuracy is essential.
In no event shall Softelara LLC, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:
THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF Softelara LLC, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, WARRANTY, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER FORM OF LIABILITY, SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID (IF ANY) FOR THE APP IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Softelara LLC and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of:
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
By continuing to access or use our App after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the App.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, under our sole discretion, for any reason whatsoever and without limitation, including but not limited to a breach of the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease, and any unused credits or remaining subscription time will be voided without refund.
The provisions of these Terms which by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including, without limitation, ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity obligations, and dispute resolution provisions.
We may from time to time develop and provide App updates, which may include upgrades, bug fixes, patches, and other error corrections and/or new features. Updates may also modify or delete in their entirety certain features and functionality. You agree that we have no obligation to provide any Updates or to continue to provide or enable any particular features or functionality.
Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms which is due to fire, flood, earthquake, pandemic, government action, war, terrorism, network infrastructure failures, or other causes beyond Company's reasonable control. In such events, performance shall be excused for the period of the delay, and the time for performance shall be extended for a period equal to such delay.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
Any dispute arising from or relating to the subject matter of these Terms shall be finally settled by arbitration in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, using the English language in accordance with the Arbitration Rules and Procedures of Judicial Arbitration and Mediation Services, Inc. ("JAMS") then in effect, by one commercial arbitrator with substantial experience in resolving intellectual property and commercial contract disputes.
